Pays de Gex

The Pays de Gex is a diverse and beautiful part of France within minutes of the Swiss border. It is home to the highest part of the Jura mountain range, which is characterised by vibrant, rolling green belts of lush forest. The region offers breathtaking views of the majestic snow-capped Mt. Blanc, while down on the plain towards Geneva spreads the picturesque Lake Leman. The entire region extends from Collonges-Fort l’Ecluse to Divonne-les-Bains .

The Pays de Gex is very well situated with excellent transport links to Geneva and the surrounding area. The UN, international corporations and organisations are all within commuting distance.

Hikers, alpine skiers, snowboarders and mountain bikers can enjoy the mountains above the Lake Leman, and get a real breath of fresh air...

One can easily access a variety of trails either in the mountains or on the plain. A quiet stroll along a brook in the shade of the forest canopy, an energetic walk with the family, or a serious trek leading from tranquil pastures grazed by cows up to dry, chalky mountain ridges during the summer months.

The gently undulating ‘Haute Chaine’ of the Jura offers a dose of fresh air amid exceptional panoramas. In the evening, a plethora of restaurants open their doors to invite you to taste some French gastronomic delights.
